Main Conflict for War Comes to Willy Freeman

The main conflict in War Comes to Willy Freeman, would probably be that Willy punched her aunts boss. This was a horrible thing to do because it wasn’t only bad for her, but for her whole family. If she didn’t punch him, her life would be different from there to the end of the book. She would have never been whipped, she would have never almost had her uncle put into slavery again, and everything would just be a whole lot better for her. But she took the long rout in life, and decided that she can do whatever she wants, and then run away from her problems. I believe that if she never would have got into a fight with her aunts boss, she would have never been through all of the messes she got into. She needs to learn that even though she starts a fight, it doesn’t mean that she has to finish it.
