S.W.A.T.!

S.W.A.T. stands for Special Weapons And Tactics. My daddy joined that I'd say like four or five years ago. He's pretty good at it..... I think. S.W.A.T is basically what cops do, but more dangerous. Like with stink bombs, bigger guns, things like that. When ever there is something horrible happening that the cops can't handle, they call him. Speaking of cops, my dad is a police officer too. He's worked in so many cities. At least i think so. He worked in North Prerry(I REALLY DON'T THINK THAT'S HOW YOU SPELL THAT),Pewaukee, Brookfeild, and now he works in Delifield. I'm so proud of him!:0

things that make me feel safe!:0

What makes me safe is when my mom hugs me. It seems like everything that is bad in the world goes away. Plus, she wears a soft sweatshirt a lot, so it's comfy. I love giving her hugs. Another thing that makes me feel safe is light. When there are lights on, or when the sun is out I feel safe. I feel kinda like god is protecting me. I feel like I have sunshine inside of me. :0

Youtube

About a year ago I got my own laptop for Christmas, so Ali and I made a bunch of youtube videos. We made characters named Shmurf™ and Frumhs™. We’ve made I think about 12 videos. Some really suck, but some are pretty good. One of my favorites is when we advertise for a stick. IT’S REALLY FUNNY! Oh, and I forgot to mention, we both wear wigs. I wear a mo-hawk and she wears an afro. For your information, I look really hot. I love youtube. It’s so interesting. When you want to see a video, you can just go on youtube and watch pathetic people make videos. Except for ours. Our videos are awesome!:0

Mode of Literature

Brittany Burke 3B

How would you feel if you were stuck underground because it’s raining non-stop? In the short story, “All Summer in a Day” by Ray Bradbury, this is what truly happens. After anyone reads it, they’ll clearly know it’s an irony. By the plot line and the symbolism you can tell. It gives the mode of literature away.

In the plotline of irony, it starts out with the world being in chaos. In the story, the world is in chaos because it has been raining for seven years. Then there is a major conflict in the story. Margot(main character) gets locked in closet while the rain finally stopped, so she never got to go out there with everyone else. Lastly, there’s death or loss of sanity. Margot lost her sanity when she got locked in the closet. Everyone was running and playing outside, which is what they haven’t done for about seven years, and left her all alone, which is how she lost her sanity.

To follow the plotline, there are a lot Characteristics. Like this story is highly unrealistic. It’s not like a bunch would live on Venus and it rains for seven years. One; people wouldn’t have enough food, and two; people will never be able to live on Venus. Another characteristic is that it’s a nightmare vision of reality. Which is so true. Even though this story doesn’t seem so scary, it does seem like a nightmare. Also there’s the main character is not in control, forces of good are weak, and forces of evil are strong. These all are true and you can tell that this describes the story.

One thing that symbolize this short story are there’s a full moon. While everyone is playing, they see the moon right in front of them. Also, whenever a color of something was described, they would mention a lot of dark colors in the story like black, gray, and red. Through almost the whole entire story it floods, and storms which is also another thing that symbolizes the story.
The story “All Summer in a Day”, the author was try to teach us to examine our fears and realize how some of our fears will never happen, and if they do, it won’t be too bad. Take Margot for example. Her fear was probably that she would never see Earth again. But, she still alive, so it’s not that bad. Whenever she would step outside, she would get drenched, though. So that makes it worse. This story definitely gives away the mode of literature, which is obviously irony.

Snow

Snow is awesome! Once it leaves I love it, but I hate when I haven’t seen it for a while. Well except for today. It’s snowing right now! I’m so excited! Ali and I are going to roll down the hill at the end of the day. We’re probably going to get like stuck to the ground because it’s so cold! When we were walking to school today, my face got frozen! That’s how cold it was. But, even though snow sometimes burns my face, I love it. I love when my friends and I are making a snow fort. This one time Ali and I made a HUGE snow fort that went all the way down her driveway and it was so big. Unfortunately, I broke it on accident. The fort was fun to make though. Every time we make a fort together it always ends up breaking. But my all time favorite part of snow is when there are no footprints in it and it’s really tall because it just so pretty. It also reminds me of the song “Walking in a winter wonderland!”I love that song. It’s one of my favorite Christmas songs.
